DJ culture, events, and assorted advice with San Francisco-based DJ and producer, Amber.
>>_I FOUND THESE TIDBITS UNDER MY COUCH CUSHIONS
Some info and spare change for your Friday night...
>>_RELIC: STILL ON, BUT I'M NOT
Due to space/time contraints I was cut from the lineup *pout*. BUT!
This will still be a grade-A hootenanny, so if you'd like to go I think
there are still a few tickets left. Reply privately for details.
The lineup is:
9-10 Aryck (aK)
10-11 Jason Wall (dk)
11-12 Alex (Science)
12-1 Shane
1-2 Aneurysm
2-3 J-Sin/Techni
3-4 Pyro/Macadio
4-5 Alex Van Dune
5-6 Andy M
>>_TIME TO KICK BACK AND RIDE THE WAVE
It's official! The promo CD cometh. The audio, graphics and money all
went in yesterday's mail to meet their destiny at a very affordable
replication shop in Texas:
Crystal Clear Sound. I
screened about 30 replication shops, this was the winner. If you'd like
to know how to make 1,000 store quality CDs (pro pressing, printing and
jewel case) for under $1,000 I'll tell ya...
>>_ROCK STAR FOR HIRE
I would like to formally plug the
"rock star" graphic designer who responded
to my distress call and whipped up one mother of a design. He was
*awesome*, *fast*, and he's looking for work. If you know of a design
firm in Boston, Chicago, San Diego, or San Francisco with the kind of
artistic integrity that would appeal to a creative designer reply
privately and I'll send you in his direction. Or, just check the
credits on the CD insert to find him later...
>>_SELF-REPLICATING-FRANKEN-WHAT??
Hokey smokes! Just when you think you'll be short on graphic designers--they start falling out of the air ducts.
Thank you so much to everyone who responded. What a great surprise!
I have selected the self-replicating-franken-designer to sculpt my vision. See what he sees at
bobomite.com. Enjoy.
>>_WALK LIKE...
SFRaves Planners, the *official* crew of SFR (really!), presents a bumpin' little hootenanny on April the 28th. It's an early-to-bed,
early-to-rise event (9pm - 4am). I'll be in the SFR room spinning unforgiving beats.
I am loosely involved with this crew and can tell you they are just about as nice as they come. Should be a great event by a great group of
people.

This party is the first in the series of the Relic series. In the first
episode we're taking you to ancient Egypt and will have 2 rooms +
outside smoking area to mystify and awe you. Immerse yourself in 2 monstrous
sound systems, full intelligent lighting install and multi screen
visuals by Viberation. We're going all out for this party and showing
what SF-RAVES is really about. If you went to Connecting the Bay
and experienced our room at Friendship Festival last year then you know
what to expect. This time it's going to be even more intense and
full of the same energy and comforts as our prior parties. This is the
party that is put on by purely SFRAVES members so come out and
show your support and represent SFRAVES!
Tickets are $13
Purchase tickets from any of our crew members, and get them soon, as
there are only 300 tickets available.

>>_EPIPHANY, INDEED!
Last Saturday's Epiphany party proved why I proudly wear the affiliation
next to my DJ name. We're now on PG&E's most wanted list for the amount
of powerjuice we used for all the audio and visual equipment we had
running! Thanks to all who came.
Be the first to hear about future Epiphany events by subscribing to the
update list. Send a blank e-mail to epiphany-subscribe@topica.com.
