Join some of the biggest names in dance music participating in NextAid’s BIDS 4 BEATS – an online auction of music, gear, events and experiences. The event runs from Oct 23rd through November 17th. The four-week auction will help raise funds for NextAid, which provides sustainable solutions for African children orphaned by AIDS.

I've been having a blast with the insanely simple music discovery service, Pandora. Enter a favorite song or artist and Pandora will launch a streaming station featuring music in that style.
I am especially enjoying the Amon Tobin station I've created. Check it out!

I don't even know how to give proper credit to all the fun I've had over the past couple of weeks. This is a great time of year for electronic music in San Francisco. Lovefest, in its third year here in SF, was my favorite yet. With help from my friends (hi guys!) I handed out about 5,000 stickers and met just about that many people. I even had some energy left over to check out Folsom Street Fair the following day.Last week Summer Music Conference hit SF for the first time. The planners were ambitious, scheduling the conference just after the tiring weekend of Lovefest. Attendance was light, but all the right people were involved and I definitely hope it comes back again. The Saturday street festival in particular had to be the nicest crowd of people I've met in years. (Hi Jules, Katie, Bob, Damir, Tom, Andrew & the rest of you!) Everybody should make the time to see the panels and free festival next year.
Finally, this week I performed at the Attendee Party for Sun Microsystems CEC 2006 conference at Moscone West. As a Silicon Valley girl I love the geeks, so this was a little piece of heaven. The production was incredible and featured circus acts, amazing lighting and effects, video games, pool--two huge floors of activity. Thanks to Jim, VP of Global Somethingorother and all-around party dog, for recommending me for the event.
